Design

Website & Graphic Design Services

We design websites, product interfaces, online stores and brand identities, starting from what visitors and users need to do and what the business needs from them. Designs are shaped with real content, planned for mobile and desktop, and handed over in a form developers can build — whether that is our team or yours.

What we design

Our design work is organised around two primary disciplines: Website Design and Graphic Design. Website Design also includes specialist services for UI/UX, ecommerce and website redesign. Most projects start in one and draw on another — a new website often needs a logo refresh; a product often needs a marketing site. If you are unsure which applies, the short test is what people do there: read and enquire (website design), complete tasks (UI/UX), buy (ecommerce design), or recognise the brand (graphic design).

Digital

Website Design

Design for business and corporate websites: page hierarchy, visual direction, how each page presents its content, and how the layout adapts across devices. It covers the public-facing site your customers see first.

Specialist routes within Website Design

  1. UI/UX Design

Design for applications, portals, dashboards and mobile or web apps, where people complete tasks rather than read pages. It covers user flows, wireframes, interaction, prototypes and interface systems that stay consistent across many screens.

  2. Ecommerce Website Design

Design for online stores: how shoppers find products, compare them, read product pages and move through cart and checkout, with particular care for mobile shopping.

  3. Website Redesign

Improving a site you already have. A redesign may be a visual refresh, a clearer structure, fixed mobile layouts, a cleaned-up component set or a better route to enquiry — and it does not have to mean rebuilding from scratch. Where a site already ranks, we plan the redesign with SEO and development so useful URLs and content are kept. Before changing anything, we look at which pages people actually use and which bring enquiries, so the redesign fixes what is weak without disturbing what already works.

Graphic

Graphic Design

Visual identity beyond the website: brand graphics, campaign and marketing creative, social media visuals and print or digital collateral that look like they come from the same business.

Approach

Design starts with the job the page or product has to do

A service page has to explain an offer and make the next step obvious. A product screen has to let someone complete a task without guessing. A store has to help shoppers find, compare and buy. Good design starts there, before colour and type: who is using this, what are they trying to do, and what would stop them. Visual style matters, but it serves the task. That is how we avoid pages that look finished yet leave people unsure where to click.

The problems we are usually asked to fix are practical ones: a website that looks dated next to competitors; pages where the most important message is buried; users who cannot find a service, a product or a contact route; mobile layouts that feel like a squeezed desktop; application screens that make simple tasks slow; components that differ from page to page; brand visuals that change with every campaign; and design files that developers cannot build without guessing. Each of these has a design cause, and most can be fixed without starting again.

Content and information hierarchy

Design built on placeholder text tends to break when real content arrives. Where practical, we work from the real content structure — headings, calls to action, service or product details and proof — before settling layouts. Final wording does not need to be written first, but the priorities do need to be known.

Responsive design

Responsive design is not shrinking a desktop page. On a phone, priorities change: which content appears first, how navigation collapses, how forms behave and where the main action sits. We design the mobile experience as a layout in its own right, and define how components behave between breakpoints.

Reusable components and visual systems

Consistency comes from reuse. Every project defines typography, colour, spacing, buttons, form fields, cards, navigation and their states, so pages look related. For larger sites and products, we define reusable visual and interface patterns; a small site needs far less, and we scale the system to the project.

Accessibility

We design with readable type sizes, sufficient colour contrast, visible focus states, clear labels and usable forms. Accessibility requirements are incorporated into the design brief where they apply and should be validated during implementation and QA; a design on its own cannot certify a site as accessible.

Process

How a design project runs

01Understand

  1. Discoverythe business, its audience and what the design must achieve.

02Structure

  1. Content and structurepages or screens, hierarchy and priorities.
  2. User flowswhere tasks span several screens.

03Design

  1. Visual directiontype, colour and style, agreed on a small set of screens first.
  2. Wireframes or layoutsstructure before detail, where the project needs it.
  3. Responsive screensdesktop and mobile, with in-between behaviour defined.
  4. Prototypewhere interaction needs testing before build.

04Deliver

  1. Reviewfeedback rounds on real screens.
  2. Developer handoffspecifications, assets and component states.
  3. Design QAchecking the built result against the design, when we build it.

Not every project needs every step; a brand refresh and a product interface follow different paths.

Design decides how a site or product should look, how its information is organised, how people move through it and how it behaves on different screens. Development decides how it is built: the technology, the CMS or framework, how data and features work, and how it is deployed and maintained. Website Development

Questions

Design FAQs

Website Design focuses on how a website is structured, presented and used across screens. Graphic Design covers visual communication such as brand-led layouts, campaign graphics and other digital or print assets. A project can require one or both.

Yes. When a project needs both, the work can be planned within one visual system so typography, layout, imagery and brand treatment remain consistent across the website and supporting graphics.

Yes. Design can be delivered for your own development team, or SAM Web Studio can continue into development where that is part of the agreed scope.

We start with what you are creating or improving, who needs to use it, and what already exists. From there we can determine whether the work belongs in Website Design, UI/UX, Ecommerce Website Design, Website Redesign, Graphic Design, or a combination.

Scope depends on the number and type of deliverables, the amount of content and structure work required, responsive states, brand requirements, interactions, review rounds and whether development is included. We confirm the final scope and schedule after reviewing the brief.

Have a website, product or brand that needs design work?

SAM Web Studio is a Delhi-based design studio established in 2012, working across website design, UI/UX, ecommerce, website redesign and graphic design. Send us your current site, product screens or a short brief. We will tell you which design route fits, what it involves, and whether design alone or design with development makes more sense.
