Web Development Company in India

Website Development

Website development is about building the engine behind your website: the functionality, the database, the user accounts, the bookings or payments, everything that has to work reliably when real customers use it. At SAM Web Studio, we have been developing websites and web applications since 2012 for more than 320 brands across India, the UAE, the UK, Canada, Nigeria, and beyond.

Our portfolio includes genuinely complex builds. We developed Surjen, a healthcare-services platform for Nigeria that lets patients book lab tests and ambulances online, browse hospitals and labs, and manage everything through their own accounts, a build its CEO says we have run for over 18 months without a single issue. We also built ExpertBells, a startup-mentorship platform with mentor profiles, one-to-one session booking, and structured programs. In the education sector, we developed the website for DPS Rewari (Delhi Public School, Rewari, Haryana), a full institutional site spanning academics, admissions and an alumni section. If your project needs more than a brochure site, this is the kind of work we do.

What sets us apart is that we hand-code your site rather than assembling it from bloated page builders, and the same team that builds it also deploys and maintains it on the server. That means we own the performance, security, and technical detail end to end. Every site we build is mobile-first, fast (we aim for load times under 2.5 seconds, not eight), and structured so search engines and AI answer engines can read it cleanly.

Our web development covers the essentials that actually matter:

  • Fast-loading, mobile-first websites built to perform on real devices and networks
  • Custom functionality: booking systems, dashboards, user accounts, payments, and integrations
  • Clean, standards-based code and structured data that search engines and AI systems can read
  • Security hardening to protect against common attacks and data leaks
  • Ongoing support after launch, because a growing website always needs attention

Whether you need a straightforward business site or a full web application like Surjen, tell us what you are trying to build and we will tell you honestly what it will take.

Three Delhi builds, and what was hard about each

Design decides how a site looks. Development decides whether it holds up when real people use it. Here is what that meant on three Delhi projects.

Bridgers, the PR agency at Vardhman Trade Centre in Nehru Place, is a Laravel application rather than a website. Services nest two levels deep, twelve sector pages each carry their own content, and there are separate libraries for case studies, achievements, testimonials and press coverage. The enquiry forms branch by intent — business, careers, media — and route accordingly. Every one of those is a database relationship that has to stay consistent while non-technical staff add and edit content daily. Our credit is in the footer at bridgers.in if you want to look at it.

Sun Infonet in West Patel Nagar has distributed professional audio since 1999 — exclusive Indian distributor for Shure and for Meyer Sound, plus Allen & Heath and DIS. The interesting problem was that they run three businesses: systems integration for auditoriums and venues, retail, and e-commerce. A systems client and a retail buyer want completely different things from the same catalogue. Building one system that serves both without either feeling like an afterthought is an architecture question, not a design one.

Boult Audio, now trading as GOBOULT out of Netaji Subhash Place, was volume. In 2020 we did their Shopify build-out: theme integration, homepage and product-listing templates against wireframes their team supplied, thirty-plus product pages, a warranty section with its redirect logic, and the mobile HTML and Shopify integration for the LiveBuds and TruBuds ranges. Consumer electronics moves fast — new SKUs, new campaigns, constant catalogue changes — and the build has to absorb that without breaking. That was several years and a rebrand ago, so we claim nothing about the site as it stands now.

Do you need development, or just design?

Worth being honest about, because it changes the cost considerably.

You probably need design only if your site is essentially pages of content with a contact form. A well-built WordPress or static site will serve you for years and cost a fraction of a custom application.

You need development when the site has to do something — user accounts, bookings, payments, dashboards, inventory, role-based access, an admin panel your team will actually live in, or an integration with software you already run. The moment a plugin cannot do it and you are being told to change how your business works to fit the tool, that is the line.

We will tell you which side you are on at the first call. Talking someone into a custom build they do not need is a good way to lose a client in month four.

What we build with

Laravel for custom applications — anything with real logic, user roles, or an admin panel behind it. WordPress when you need a site your team can edit without calling us, built properly rather than assembled from a bought theme and twenty plugins. Shopify for e-commerce that fits Shopify's model, customised where the theme runs out. Next.js and React where the interface genuinely needs it.

We pick by what the project needs. If someone recommends the same stack for every project, they are describing what they know rather than what you need.

The part most agencies leave out

We deploy and run it. The same people who write the code configure the server, set up the SSL, tune the caching and handle the deployment. That matters more than it sounds — a great deal of what makes a site slow, insecure or fragile happens at the server layer, and a development team that hands a zip file to your hosting provider cannot see any of it.

Security is part of the build, not an add-on. Input validation, protected admin routes, sensible file permissions, no credentials sitting in the webroot. We have been called in often enough to clean up sites that were compromised through basic gaps to take this seriously.

Speed is a development decision. Query efficiency, caching strategy, image handling, how much JavaScript ships. You cannot design your way to a fast site if the code underneath is doing forty database queries per page load.

We are still here afterwards. Applications need maintenance — framework updates, security patches, the features you think of six months in. We stay on.

How a build runs

Scope first, in writing. What the system must do, who uses it, what happens in the edge cases. Vague scope is the single biggest cause of projects that overrun.

Then structure. Database design, user roles, admin flows. Getting this wrong is expensive to fix later, so it comes before anything visual.

Build in stages you can see. Working staging you can log into and click through, not screenshots. You find things we would not, because you know your business.

Test properly. Real devices, real data volumes, and the awkward cases — what happens when someone submits the form twice, or the payment fails halfway.

Deploy and hand over. Server configured, backups running, and someone on your team shown how the admin panel works.

A straightforward business site takes a minimum of 35 business days once scope is agreed, excluding your feedback and testing time. A custom application with accounts, payments or an admin panel runs considerably longer, and we will give you a real number rather than a hopeful one.

What it costs

Web development at SAM typically runs between INR 50,000 and INR 10,00,000. That is a wide band because the work is genuinely variable — a well-built business site sits near the bottom, a custom application with user accounts, payments and an admin panel sits near the top.

What moves it: how much custom functionality you need, how many user types the system serves, whether it integrates with software you already run, and whether content and data have to be migrated from an existing site.

We quote after scoping, and the quote itemises what you are paying for.

Working with a Delhi development team

We are in Sewak Park, Dwarka, and have been building since 2012. On an application project — as opposed to a five-page site — being able to sit in a room with the client during scoping genuinely changes the outcome. Requirements that take three weeks of email surface in an hour across a table.

We also work across India and internationally: more than 320 clients across India, the UAE, the UK, Canada, Nigeria, Luxembourg and the US. The Nigerian healthcare platform in our portfolio was built entirely remotely and has run for eighteen months without an incident, so distance is not the constraint — clear scope is.

Tell us what you are building

Send us what you have — a specification, a rough idea, or a site that has stopped keeping up with your business. We will tell you what it would take, what it would cost, and whether you actually need custom development or something simpler.

Website Development FAQ's

Will I be able to update the site myself?

Usually yes, and we build for that. If your team needs to add pages, posts or products without calling us, we build on WordPress or with a custom admin panel and show someone on your team how it works before handover.

Some things stay with us by design — framework updates, security patches, structural changes. Those are not tasks you want a non-technical person doing on a live site, and we stay available for them.

The website development process requires a minimum of 35 business days excluding the time required for feedback and testing.

It stays live and untouched. We build the new site on a separate staging URL that you can log into and click through as it comes together, so nothing changes for your customers until you approve the switch.

At go-live we point the domain across, keep your existing URLs working or redirect them properly so you do not lose search rankings, and stay on hand for the first few days. If content or data needs migrating from the old site, that is scoped in before we start.

You do. You get the code, the database and the hosting access, and you are free to take it to another developer at any point. We do not hold projects hostage through access.

The one thing worth knowing: if we build on a licensed theme or a paid plugin, that licence belongs to whoever bought it, and we will tell you at quoting stage which parts of the build carry one.

Web development at SAM starts from INR 60,000 and runs to around INR 10,00,000, depending entirely on what the system has to do. A well-built business site sits near the bottom of that range; a custom application with user accounts, payments and an admin panel sits near the top.

What moves the number is how much custom functionality you need, how many user types the system serves, whether it integrates with software you already run, and whether content and data have to be migrated from an existing site. We quote after scoping, and the quote itemises what you are paying for.

Yes. We are in Dwarka and meet Delhi NCR clients in person when it helps, but most of our work is remote — more than 320 clients across India, the UAE, the UK, Canada, Nigeria, Luxembourg and the US since 2012.

The healthcare platform we built for a Nigerian client was scoped, built and deployed entirely remotely and has run for eighteen months without an incident. Distance is not the constraint on a software project; a clear scope is.
